The conference took place on September 25–26, 2024, in Warsaw. It gathered over 120 speakers and several hundred participants representing retail chains, e-commerce platforms, and food and non-food suppliers. The event program focused on the key challenges facing today’s retail industry. Discussions covered topics such as retail digitalization, omnichannel sales, shifts in consumer behavior, and pricing strategies in the age of AI.
Kamil Folkert, CEO at Occubee S.A., took part in the event as the moderator of the panel discussion titled “Assortment Development Strategies in Retail.” Panelists sharing their insights included: Michał Krygier – Managing Director at Unilever Ice Cream Poland, Baltics, and Ukraine; Maciej Wypych – Director of Strategic Projects in the Commercial Division at Castorama Poland; Sławomir Leszczyński – Commercial Division Director at MAKRO Poland; and Dorota Łyko – Category Director at Maxi Zoo Poland.

The panelists discussed various topics, including sales seasonality, the impact of growing environmental awareness on the expansion or limitation of certain product categories, and the use of technology and data analysis to optimize assortment.
