Stocking warehouses, placing orders with suppliers and production orders

Effectively manage demand based on forecasts and precisely defined warehouse strategies. Take full advantage of each warehouse’s potential and maintain optimal inventory levels. Eliminate losses in logistics.

Step by step

How do we do it at Occubee?

Step 1

Demand forecast

The system provides medium- and long-term demand forecasts for selected markets, sales channels or assortment groups.

The basis for the forecasting process is sales (receipt) data, data from delivery documents and orders from B2B customers. The forecasts also take into account external factors such as sales trends and changes in consumer behavior.

Step 2

Warehouse demand

Based on the juxtaposition of the demand forecast with the warehouse stock, the system generates demands for specific goods or product groups for a given warehouse.

The demand also takes into account additional parameters, such as warehouse capacity and assortment, minimum/optimum/maximum stock levels for an SKU or product category, and goods in transit.

Step 3

Orders to supplier

Based on inventory requirements, the system automatically generates orders to suppliers and/or production orders.

In doing so, it takes into account information about suppliers’ capabilities or in-house production (including minimum production requirements, lead times, orders in progress). Automation speeds up ordering and increases the efficiency of processes between the warehouse and supplier/manufacturing line.

What benefits can you gain?

Optimize your inventory

Balance inventory in terms of the availability of goods, as well as the allocated capital. Stock the warehouses taking into account the specifics of each warehouse, resulting from the market served, the sales channel used or the assortment stored.

Eliminate the risk of out-of-stocks

Make your business more resilient to the effects of disrupted supply chains. Plan orders well in advance using the forecast base. Choose suppliers that offer shorter lead times.

Minimize storage costs

Control the degree to which warehouses are filled on an ongoing basis. Avoid overstocks that result in the need to build or rent additional storage space.

Maximize logistics efficiency

Optimize the number of deliveries. Ensure that vans and containers are as full as possible. Stop transporting air.

Minimize losses

Reduce waste of raw materials used in in-house production. Eliminate waste of finished products. Reduce your carbon footprint with thoughtful logistics.
