To support our growth journey, we are searching for an experienced, self-driven, and ambitious Head/VP of Finance who can excel in our dynamic, agile, growth-driven, and customer-focused environment. Areas within your role
- Forecasting and Budgeting
- Financial and operational reporting including implementation and maintenance of reporting and BI systems for the whole organization
- Controlling
- Cashflow management
- Fundraising (equity, debt, grants)
- Shareholders and Investors relations
- Capital Group structure
- Accounting department supervision
- Compliance, tax and legal
- Representing the company towards external entities, e.g. banks, tax authorities, etc.
Key part of your role
- Lead strategic long-term planning:
▪ Work with leaders to develop long-range strategic plans, which then should align with annual financial objectives - Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate their goals and objectives, partnering with operations and supporting key processes:
▪ Customer Acquisition, e.g. negotiating and closing deals
▪ Customer Retention, e.g. architecting and executing seamless collection and payment system
▪ Product Development, e.g. inspiring the Product team to optimize unit economics by providing insights regarding cloud consumption costs
▪ People Enablement, e.g. providing strategic visibility on impact every person has on company performance - Budgeting and forecasting:
▪ Lead annual budgeting process
▪ Communicate risks, opportunities, and drivers of forecast variances in an insightful way to facilitate timely and proactive decision-making - Board reporting / performance analysis
▪ Actual to budget/forecast variance reporting and analysis
▪ Assorted reports, including churn, retention, bookings, key SaaS metrics
▪ Unit economics/profitability and margins analysis
▪ Cash forecasts
▪ Monthly and quarterly Board decks
▪ Reporting to investors and Supervisory Board
▪ Tons of ad-hoc analysis to facilitate decisions of fast-growing SaaS business - Fundraising:
▪ Partnering with the Board in research and pitching to the potential investors
▪ Supporting the Board in maintaining relations with current and potential investors - Building and leading a strong back-office team that leverages company values and culture to cover all areas within the role
What will we expect from you?
As a Occubee Head/VP of Finance, you must understand the operations of each department. Working with those leaders to educate, challenge, and facilitate. Departmental understanding allows you to pull together the overall financial story of your business. Armed with data, you will act as the financial architect of value creation to drive growth and value.
- Min. 5 years of experience in a high-impact and/or leadership capacity within Finance, Operations & Management analytics (ideally within a SaaS environment)
- Retail industry-specific knowledge is nice to have
- Proven track record of translating financial capabilities into business solutions
- Excel in creating financial reporting process, procedure & metrics for technology/software companies
- Self-driven, fast learner and highly proactive mindset
- English on a business level (C1)
